saturday somethings

babies are like dogs. they eat grass...and then puke it up. awesome.

eating blueberries stains both cloth diaper and little bottom.

the cop next to me at the stoplight today was texting.

forgotten God, by francis chan is really good. you should read it.

i talked with a lady this week named bliss. she doesn't have a permanent home and her one bag containing her 'life' was stolen the other night. she was sad on many levels...but sad she had finally gotten to the 'place' to have cosmetics again. and then her tube of lipstick was stolen since it was in her bag.

sam and i drove to san antonio to have lunch with aaron's parents. i am realizing our 'quick' trips in driving to see family will be gone before we know it. yes, we travel a lot, but we also love seeing our family.

i'm not sure why kids even need toys. they might play with them for a few minutes...but sam's favorite activities these days include staring out windows, banging cans, and crawling into the bathroom to pull up on the tub. the thing they probably need most is a helmet.

our church is leaving the building tomorrow to get out into the community. sam and i are planning to visit some folks in the nursing home. should be a good time.

aaron is in san diego for work. it's 70 there. we're in corpus right now. it's 95 here. that's why we're going to join him on wednesday.

by baking/selling four pans of cinnamon rolls yesterday (via one text!) we sponsored 1.5 world vision kids. that's exciting.
