Since I have been traveling and have seriously slacked at writing on the blog, I thought I would update everyone that I too got a promotion...I am one class period down of working towards my masters! Yippee. I was supposed to have two classes today but one was canceled due to a death in the prof's family, so I got to enjoy the sun this afternoon working out at the pool and then studying more. I'm loving all the stuff I've had to read, so I don't mind the 100s of pages of reading...quite a difference from all the sicko biology I hated reading.
I also got promoted to being a member of the Kirby family. I'll attach a picture later, but this very generous family (she's Columbian and he's British) is letting me live with them (and their 13 yr old son Alec and beautiful dog Cody). They are very hospitable and have invited anyone that wants to come visit to stay with them (they are also looking for someone to come house sit for 2 weeks in September if you're interested). Going from wife to single girl to daughter in a house has had funny implications, but I'm hanging in there. As great as it is, I still prefer to live with my husband and Peanut, too. I miss my little family...
And for those of you concerned, I am not turning into a fruit or nut...
